well for $20, why the hell not? It probably won't hurt performance.

holy hell don't spend that much. Turbocity had them on sale for $25 or $30, don't know if they're still that price. Hell, in Summit they're probably cheaper than that!

I'd make my own if I were you. If you have access to a vertical bandsaw and a drill press (very common in any metals shop) you could make one from scrap metal for free (plus gaskets; but hey thats what RTV is for!). That is, if you had the motivation...

$50, a little more than I thought. Could have sworn they were cheaper. Then again this is the poly spacer, not the aluminum one...

i just bought an Edelbrock Performer TBI intake so when i install it mid march i wont be needing my 1/2" tbi spacer anymore, id be willing to see it for pretty cheap with the mounting bolts. BTW, it is a Turbo City spacer

If you buy one, you want to watch out for how tall it is. I don't think you can run anything over 1/2" tall without running into throttle linkage issues. Personally, I wouldn't even consider getting one for $50 or $60, if I could find one used or for real cheap I might give it a try, but I couldn't see getting much of a gain out of it.

This is well put. I run a .5" with the edelbrock intake and it is only because my air cleaner won't clear my distributor. They aren't really worth the money. They go from $50 to $100 new. I got mine from turbo city for $60 back in the day. I can't go any hgiher without having any throttle bracket problems. The intake is .25" taller than stock and with the .5" spaer that makes .75" or added strech for the linkage. I have heard of some using 1" with automatics but they had to do some modding to the TV cable.

Cliff notes: Save your money

Exactly what is the job of the spacer. What is it supposed to do?

It is supposed to increase the plenum volume of your intake. it works great for carbs and certain applications but not much for TBI. We have far greater problems.

I wonder would you notice more gains from a single plane intake with the spacer?
