dual TB came stock?
did any f bodies have dual TB 's. i am aware of the crossfire BUT did any other years have the single unit dual TB or are these applications only retrofitted to f body off trucks? also did the other GM vehicles such as caprice( not sure of letter class) use a dual TB? the cop car caprice came with (what) and what year ran TBI ? how about the monte and cutluss and the like? did grand national use a TB with turbo ever ? thying to get a handle of this application through the years for GM. i also heard the caddy used a single TB?

88-92 F-cars could be had wiht the dual-bore TBI units, it was one steup above the V6 for the RS cars, and was the base engine for IROC in some years.
Caprices (not sure of the year) with the L05 had them, the TBI unit itself is basicly the same as the 305 f-cars got.
Trucks you could get the big-block version , which has the 2" bore TBI unit that most people are using to replace the smaller bore units that came on the f-cars and caprice.

Ronnie, I know you have been asking questions about dual tb's for a while now. Let me just say that when someone says dual, I think of two, as in two tb's not one tb with two bores. A crossfire Camaro or Corvette has dual tb's, two singles. Just as you have two barrel carbs you have two barrel tb's, Holley also makes four barrel tb's as well. The way you have been refuring to a two barrel tb is like calling a fourbarrel carburator a quad carb. So as not to offend you in anyway, I was just pointing this out because a lot of post have been made to see if running two dual bore tb's could be made you work on a high performance sbc (or bbc for that matter). It's like Dewey said, all tbi equiped cars and truck that have a V6 or V8 use the now standard two barrel tb.

no offense taken. dual is probable not a good word for either application. i am aware of the confusion. i currently have two single bore(barell) TB's on vette. i think that is correct terminology. now the shiny new TB(in box) i have is from the 1995 C1500 7.4 L pkup. i would refer ro it as "dual venturi" TB.
what does GM call this unit? Holley calls theirs a two barrel direct replacement TBI.

Ronny, the easiest way I know is to just call it a 454tb or 670tb depending on if it's a GM or Holley unit.
Have you ever checked out JoBy's corvette? He has a procharger blown crossfire vette that is really nice. I you have winaldl then you might has seen it already.

holley sells a low profile blower that is specific for a truck application. fits 454 TB. but since the top of TB is 5 and 1/8 inch dont see why their carb application would be any different ? maybe the truck application is geared for less boost. will give thought to that in future(blower) but with 95K on car not too sure if wise? there is a photo of that car on CF but now sure if that is his? has ground effects and aftermarket spoiler on red 82.
Ronny, check this thread out. JoBy's Corvette It's kind of a long post but he has some good pitures of his vette and the blower he installed under the stock hood. If you don't want to read the whole thread just go to the bottom and work your way up, the last couple of replys are his.
