i have a 88 camaro and just replace the 305 tbi with a 350tbi from a 92 caprise, i put all the stock stuff on it (acc., tbi unitwith stock inj, stock computer from 305tbi) it start and dieds out until it warms up and run ruf. do i need different inj. for 350, or is it the computer? if it the computer should i get one from a caprise or a different 350 tbi equip car or truck? any info will help thanks

 

Moving to TBI board.

 

Did you re-use the knock sensor and ignitioon module from the 350? Did you grab its injectors as well? Did you set the timing right. You are going to have problems running that motor with the stock chip. You are going to have to burn a new one or data log and have someone do it for you.

 

get some 55# or 65# 350 injectors, a 350 knock sensor, 350 ESC module, and a cop car chip from www.tbichips.com, advance the timing between 0*-6*, make sure you hooked everything up, and you should be good to go. If you need the part numbers for the knock sensor and esc module i have them.

were are knock sensor and ignitioon module located cuz i swap some sensor from the 305 cuz some were broken. i didnt get the injectors cuz i had asked for a 305 and ended up with the 350 which is good for me but having little trouble geting to run good.

how do i tell the diffrence from the 55 and 65 injectors? yes please let me get the part numbers for the knock sensor and esc module. the link didnt work how much do they go for

Do a search for the 350 injector part numbers. Most 350 injectors that you find on ebay, etc are more than likely 55#. The 65# injectors were only used on cop cars and are fairly rare. Im sure the 55# ones will work fine if your 350. But if you buy the chip from tbichips.com let the guy know that you are going to be using 55# injectors since the chip is set up for 65#. Then he can reprograme it for you.

 

checked out the link it says its for 89-92 only and not the 88, thats what i have an 88. could i just change the hole computer or is it different? thank for the help

 

yeah, im sure an 89-92 will be a direct swap for your 88 ECM

 

I'm sure you could email the guy at www.tbichips.com and ask him to input the specs of the caprice chip (or similar) into an 8063 prom chip, even though I don't like what he's doing much anymore.
