Who makes the best adjustable pressure regulator?
Title says it all. I've tried a Jet unit but the pressure couldn't be lowered to less than 12.5 psi which had my car running way too rich. I'm thinking that my car needs around 10.5 to 11 psi. The stock fpr has the car at 12psi and it just barely passed it's most recent smog test. Does Turbo City still make modified OE fpr units that allow you to adjust them? I'd love to be able to find one so as to do some fine tuning on the dyno with the fuel pressure to try and pick up a few horses. I've always thought my car ran rich though and maybe this will help.

I thought about the DIY deal but I'd rather have one I can adjust on the car instead of having to remove the injector pod top to do it. I may try the Jet piece again since at the time I used it I had a Cyberdyne digital fuel pressure gauge that read all over the place. I now have an Autometer electric unit that reads way more accurate. I may give it another try this weekend. Anyone with experience using the TDS kit?

I'm interested in what that looks like too.
I have just got done making a stock regulator adjustable. The one I have on the car is from a 350TBI unit, the one I modified was a spare from my old 305TBI. Do you think that the spring inside might be different for the 305?

Here's pics of the regs themselves:

I use the 13101, as I had it on hand for another project. Plus I'm running some elevated pressures, and it has vac/boost compensation.
The 13301 also has boost/vac compensation, and would have worked as well for me.
I could only get a 6lb span with a GM reg, where I get 8 with the Aeromotive.

mine is new in box awaiting install! i am mounting on the bracket that attaches to my alternator that used to serve the air pump support as well. i assume f bodies have similar stock bracket. i fashioned another bracket that has a provision (2 holes)for attach of the FP gauge as well as the regulator just to passanger side of alternator. all this is being installed (hopefully) next week with new cam, 454 TB on adapter plate, and WB02 sensor. i will take photos of the mods

I would look into getting the GM vacuum adjustable unit. You can run around 11-12 at idle and up to 15 at WOT. Adjusting our fuel pressure is only really a stab in the dark until you get into prom burning for proper fuel delivery.

I'm really looking to lean mine out a bit as it sits at 12-12.25 psi whether at idle or WOT. I'd like to get it down to around 10.5 to 11 mainly to see if that helps both the performance and the emissions output. I'm not concerned about PROM burning right now, plenty of time for that after emissions testing is dropped in 2006. A 350 crate motor is in the future for the bird but I still have to pass in '05 and my friend at the smog check helped me "pass" this time. Blew a 214 on a 220 scale, first time it has ever done this poorly but I didn't get a chance to do a thorough tune up before I went.
