?'s on fuel pressure guage adapters..need help
i have a holley tbi unit i am fixing to use (just got from jegs). the only thing i am waiting on is i want to put a fpq on the feed line to the tbi. i have found the fitting through earls performance plumbing but i dont know the size. -6,-8 an, what does that mean 1/4,3/8 npt. what does an and npt mean and what size do i need. how can i tell the size and so on. i know it needs to be male on one side and female on the other. thanx ahead of time guys.....
i have the part # at home if you email me. i used aeroquip fittings however. it actually has an o ring on the end that (male) enters the TB. i believe the size hose i used was 6 AN. not sure what the pipe size was(male end). i took TB to speed shiop(aero distributor) and they fixed me up nicely with all fittings needed.

what would be really nice is a adaptor with a shrader valve, so you can attach a gauge that you can see while driving.

So how difficult would it be to make one like that? Anybody have access to the materials? I bet they would sell like hotcackes! I know I'd buy one, for sure.
Just like an extension fitting, but with a schrader valve installed in the side. Something like that, Dewey?

I removed the diagnostic gauge and screwed the hose into the diaphragm that comes with AutoMeter's isolated fuel gauge.
Don't have time to resource the numbers right now, so if someone else doesn't jump in with the numbers, I'll find 'em.

I think I found it

And at autozone it's cheaper

va454,
BTW, what model Autometer gauge do you have? I'd like to setup a gauge in the car also. I have been looking, but the only ones I see go to like 15psi.

However, I've exceeded the 15 psi limit of the gauge a little, so I installed this:

However, its less accurate than should be.
I need to get this:

Hope that helps

Here's a pic where I ran mine from. One is under the hood which you can see and the sensor runs to an electric guage inside.

DM91RS could you take a closer picture of your fuel prssure gauge setup. I've been all over trying to find a T fitting to mount it the same way you are but I can't find a T fitting to go inbetween the hard and soft line. Could you tell me what you used.

I was subscribed to this thread and would not have known except for e-mail....anyway the t-fitting with barbed ends came from Summit racing. Part number or size does not come to mind after 4 years. Hope the fuzy pic helps. The actual fitting is the silver part. I have a nipple and another t-fitting plumbed in to allow a guage under the hood and an electrical sensor for the guage in the car.

Hmm not exatly what I was hopin to see but it helps. Have you had any problems with leaks from having that kind of setup on the high pressure line?
I was hopin to find a T fitting that would go inline with the factory setup without having to cut anything. The picture will show better...

No leaks after four years of having all that shet hanging there. Its just an inline t with barbed fittings and a 1/8 NPT tapped hole in the middle. I did not find anything else when I was looking back then. Not that there isn't something to be found. I didn't want to cut it either but have had no problems
