looking to gain more pony's
hey, i'm new to the board so, ill just ask the general question that i have with my car. I have a '91 RS with a 305 TBI, and am looking to get a few more horses out of her. I'm pushing 240 right now, and want to break the 300 mark, just to prove i can. I still have the A/C in there and want to take the damn thing out, but don't know how to run the belt without it. if anyone has any suggestions, let me know, cuz i'm thinking of buying a create 383 to throw in it and just say screw the 305, but, i just wanted to know if anyone had any other suggestions.

Thats pretty cool that you actually got the car to dyno at 240. I would assume that would be at the crank? Use the search button. Some of the common mods that really help are exaust, intakes, and rear end mods like posi and gears.

lt4 hot cam (or similar)
single plane intake
good heads (ported tpi's or sr torquers)
holley 670 or GM 454
3" mandrel exhaust
hell of a lot of tuning
Should be close to 300 I think. could be wrong. It'd be interesting to know what you have to already have 240 though.

I've got another RS, but it's black, instead of my teal one, that i just got. but the black RS is the stroker, it's more a street rod then a real racer, since i only have frame extentions on it instead of a whole frame that i will have put in at a later date, like when i have the money. but, im just looking for some pointers with the teal one i have to play with now. when i bought the teal one, a few weeks ago, the guy that had it before me put a high rise on the throttle body itself, and did some fuel pump work, that im not sure on right now, he also tells me that he may have done something with the crank, but again, i haven't opened all the engine to really look around in it, just bought it on a whim to give me something else to mess around with.

fuel delivery upgrades, always forget about thouse.
i thought I read on these boards somewhere that our internals can only handle about 300 hp anyways? i dont think i'd push that number too much if thats the case.
