I think I got the wrong injectors?

I went to the store and picked up 2 injectors for a 1992 Chevy 3500 w/ a 454 ci. The injectors have red and blue on them, and to my knowledge, that means they're 90# injectors.

I could have sworn on that year model that they were 75#'s.

Now I could take them back, but now I'm stumped as to what year to ask for. I know in the mid 90's they were changed to something different.

I definately think 90#'s is way too big for my crate motor (which I'm sure yall are getting sick of hearing about ), so. . . .

Not at all. If you are aiming for over 300hp you're gonna want all the injector you can lay your hands on.

I agree, 90 # for a mild 350 isn't too much. Are you planning on doing any prom burning.

I run my 55# at 100# flow rate for my 350.

I had "EFIMike" burn me one, but when I gave him the specs, I told him I was using 75# injectors. Oh well, it should atleast get it to run, then I'll datalog and send him the file for a reburn.

That's amazing that you have 55's running that high.

All of the 454 injectors (90 -95) are rated at 75 lbs/hr.

The 94 and 95 are rated at a higher pressure, though.

There were never any GM 454 injectors rated at 90 lbs/hr.

This is where I've gotten my info from, along with a search on here.

So I guess I'll stick w/ the 90#'s. This should work though.

17102560(gm part #) 1708430 part marking RPD is 80 lbs (from what i read)

no gm part #?; 5235231 marking RPD is 90 lbs and are newer/later but not as new as 1994-1995 which are 43 lbs (26-32 FP).

i just found out i have the 80's. I thought i had 90's? guess my BPW is off now. maybe no big deal. i will recalculate and reset in constants and watch to see what happens globally.

looking at that site you posted shows the 80 lbs as "later" so maybe i was wrong. i thought the 90's were newer/later model year, maybe not so.
