okay, now I am confused....
So here it is. I was planning on doing the holley 670 conversion on my 89 rs droptop with a 305 tbi. I need to get a little more out of her. So I was told that I needed to bore out my manifold because the holley TBI is 2" in diameter. Well I got all my parts in; the holley tbi, bored manifold, new coil etc. Well I decided to measure the throttle body and my new bores on the manifild and guess what? The throttle body is only 1 11/16" in diameter. Not the 2" as I was told it would be. What do I do? Should I simply install the holley on to my stock manifold? Could the discussion have gotten confused with instaling a 454 throttle body? Have I been sent the wrong throttle body? Thanks for your help everyone. Have a great morning!

do you have a picture of the TB unit.
i assume if there is doubt, you did not buy this unit, new from holley. Is it even a holley TBI unit? 1 11/16 is the stock small block TB bore. the 454 units have 2" as do the holley units.

A pic would help. There are plenty of physical differences between the 454, stock and holley units to tell them apart. Chances are if it looks exactly like your stocker than you were duped.

sent a pic
Thanks for the help Dewey_316, I just emailed you the only pic I have of the thottle body. I'm not sure how to post pics on this sight as of yet. It's is deffinately a holley TB. Holley is printed in the casting of the TB. Maybe this is for the s-10 V6 or something? Seems like this will simply bolt right on to what I already have, but would the performance change at all? Am I looking to purchase a different throttle body? So close, yet so far away! Thanks for any help you can give me. have a great mornging my friend!

sent a new one
I just sent you a new one my friend. I made sure that I sent you a jpeg. I apologize. I'm not sure what format the original was sent in. I am roaming today, meaning i am using everyone elses's computer but the one in my own office. I'm currently on a Mac with OS 10 and it obviously does not save pics in jpeg format by default as does a windows machine. Sorry for the frustration. Thanks for the help!!
