where can I find afpr

hey I was just wondering where I could order or go and buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for my tbi is there one that I could install in the engine bay right between where the lines come and and where they connect to the lines going to the TBI?

Are you looking for an external AFPR with a gauge? IF not the following part numbers will help you.

f you ever need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to replace your stock non-adjustable one you can get one from AutoZone. GP Sorensen # 800-225. The GM part # on your regulator unit should be 17064317. The GP listing is actually for a 95 GMC pickup 1500 with a 350 tbi. LOL. Crazy stuff. They have exactly the same fuel pressure regulator as our 305/350 tbi's lol, and it is ADJUSTABLE!!!

Absolutely! Your tpi fuel pump will do well in your tbi system. It will handle it well.

Tell me more about the clicking noise. Exact location, during idle, etc.

its sort of like a fast clicking and you hear it....well right after the car dies. it wont idle, and it starts really rough. a couple times we've messed with it and we got it to idle for quite a while, but as soon as you'd put it in gear, it'd just stop running.

Boy where do we start? LOL. make sure base timing is correct with est disconnected. Then turn car off and connect est then remove the negative battery cable for 30 seconds. Reconnect battery cable and start the car. your timing should be set. Unless you have a bad harmonic balancer or an improper chip for your car, etc.

Not sure what the clicking is in your throttle body.

Did you already post your conversion/mods on another board? if so give me the link so i can read what yo uhave already done so far.

Make sure firing order is correct. make sure that the distributor is set in correctly and that the rotor points to #1 when at TDC.

Boy a ton of stuff could be causing your idle problem. EGR valve and or solenoid bad. MAP sensor bad etc.

Bring me up to par on your car. All the mods done etc. Parts replaced? etc

lol I dont even nkow where to start anymore. It started out as a 305 TBI, Then I spun a bearing in it......So we decided we were going to put a 350 in it.......so we did all that, but not before my bro wanted to rip out all the smog stuff.......he already ordered headers for it, without the plug inserts.... newayz engine goes back in. little problems here and there, one major ones, is after I put the wiring harness back in, none of the gauges except for the tach and the gas gauge worked. sometimes the speedo would bounce...odd, its all electrical its a 90 camaro by the way......neways I drove it for about a month before it just stopped running.....didnt know why, it just did

Also during the tiem it ran, it would start....idle hard for like 30 seconds blowing black smoke, then it would smooth out.....and sometimes at a stop it'd shut off, but it would start up again......but that was before it actually shut off and wouldnt come back on. sorry I know thats alot of jumping around.

WOW. A lot to think about. Is your oil pressure switch/sending unit in now? Another name for that is fuel pump/oil pressure sender/switch.

my unit is out lol, we are redoing a couple things, cleaning it up a little. we also think that possibly it wasnt at top dead center.......and the uhhh the balancer, was an old one and it has paint all over it so you cant see the marks, hard to time it the "right" way.
----------
I just looked at your diagram, and wha tI replaced was the EST not the ESC
----------
oh....flattop pistons, mildcam....like, just above stock....couldnt tell you the lift on it..my brother put this block together. and even he couldnt remember

definitely begin with a new harmonic balancer. $49 at autozone. Make sure it matches what's on the vehicle now. Also, get your distributor set correctly to TDC. Vitally important.

You must have that oil pressure switch/fuel pump switch in.

Do those things and see what happens from there.
----------
Well, lol. You will most definitely have to burn a chip according to your engine needs. Cam, heads, etc will change everthing especially your fueling etc. Long ways to go, but it's worth it.

Time to start on the journey of chip burning. DO NOT buy an aftermarket chip. WILL NOT, i repeat NOT work for you at all. You must do custom work.

See moates.com. Start there.

.....and triple post.........do you think that maybe since I didnt have it at top dead center the first time I started it up that eventually it just ****ed it up. hey, another question off topic....if I wanted to disconnect my ac but leave that stuff up by the fire wall alone, what do I have to do. or behind that black plastic is it also firewall.....I think I just want to get rid of it.....which in that case only leaves me with the drive pulley....is that what the pulley on the harmonic balancer is called....and then the water pump, alternator and power steering.
