I went through Hypertech and Jet both and both of their fan switches didn't fit. (The sensor was to big.) Jets was ridicoulously bigger than the stock one and would never fit in the stock sensor hole. Hypertech's was close, I maybe could have shaved it, but thought maybe Jet had one where I didn't have too, i was wrong. So should I go manual? Should I just leave it be? Has anyone done a fan switch on their 305 TBI before? If so what did u use and do u have a part number? I made sure they were the right part numbers. Thanks guys. I don't think its a big mod but its just something nice to have.

You must have gotten a wrong part. I have a Hypertech fan switch in mine and it fits perfectly...

'fraid not, I got that too long ago. I just walked into a speed ship and asked for the switch and the one they got me fit...

 

I really suggest getting a manual fan switch. I like it more then having the automatic fan, and I still have the stock system connected just in case I forget to flip the switch. It's especially useful at the drag strip. Wehn you shut down in between runs, you can flip the switch on and cool everything down quicker, plus it's a good backup incase the stock system fail while your in traffic. If you need a wiring diagram I have one that I could e-mail to you.
