Edlebrock torker II and preformer???

How much would either of them help and which would help more on a stock 305 tbi except for the open element. I can get the torker II for like $70 and the preformer for $80. How hard are they to install.

I would go with Performer. But if I was u, I would kinda wait until your done modding some other stuff on the engine. Like the ultimate TBI mods, open element, exaust, and a chip, then I would do the intake deal.

intake and ultimate tbi could be done in one day. go for it. dont know which one. dont think there would be much difference between the two on a stock motor.

There would be a major difference on a stock motor. The Torker 2 is a single plane intake, and not a very good one at that. It is a low buck economy minded intake that didn't have alot of thought put into its design. It has been the down fall of some decent cars here also. It does not live up to where it's name came from. The Performer is almost as cheap in dollar wise as a Torker 2 but that is not because it is a lousy manifold like the Torker 2. It is cheap because of supply and demand, it might be the most popular intake manifold ever. It is a dual plane intake and that is what you need on your car. Even highly modded your car would not benefit from the Torker 2 thats when you would start to look at Performer RPM's.

Wardo, We built an engine for a friend's 71 Chevelle and the car ran 13.40's with a Performer RPM. The next week,we changed only the intake, to a Torker II, and picked up a tenth and almost 2 mph in hotter air. Since then the car has gone 13.10's, this a 3950lb car with a .030 over 350 w/ double humps, Comp 284 Xtreme Energy Cam and a 650 holley DP. In my opinion the Torker is not the bad just my opinion

Blue, Looks like the torker is the better manifold. In fact, im going to buy one after christmas now. Maybe we can put both on at the same time? save time, energy and mistakes. Do mine first then yours so that we know exactly what we are doing on your brand new motor(30k, wow, its still just a baby).

O, and i think its time to close this post, well, no i wont close it, but from this line down, all non intake manifold posts will be deleted.
