yeah dude! I live in Hell! About half an hour from Ann Arbor, 45 minutes from Detroit! I know people in Mt Pleasant. Ben Heintz, he's 17, lives like 3 miles from the soaring eagle casino.

haha my dad went there and lost $80. On the other hand my grandma won like $200 and gave me some.

Oh my friend; he's 17, he practically runs this place in Detroit. Its a auto shop. he's gonna find me a smooth 350 TPI for me and install it for cheap! How cool is that? Hes got the '67 stang /w nitro i mentioned somewhere. He burnt out a 16 lb tank of NOS in 2 days. hahahaha

On behalf of all the other thoughtless folk on this thread, I apologize, especially to One Eyed Jack. All OEJ asked was a simple, granted it's broad, question, and u guys are starting a HUGE confusing argument on what he should do. Also, I see most of u don't have numbers to back up your opinions. For ******* sake, give to poor boy something to grasp instead of just saying 'choose my idea because it's better'. Thanx for listening(if u did).

Nothing is impossible, if you have the right tools (engine hoist etc) you shouldn't have a hard time installing an engine. A few friends, some time, and beer always helps with the banged up knuckles.
Headers are a very good idea. Intake is also a good idea along with GEARS and posi. Everything compliments upgrades so do what you want, just remember that if you keep the 305, stock cam, and stock heads....you aren't going to be faster than 14.5 at the track. I have yet to see somebody do a 14.5 with just bolt ons, Tim has aluminum edelbrock heads, 1.6 rockers, intake, modified 305, LIGHT car, gears, exhaust, and he is running 14.2 but at least it's a solid runner. When I had my old L03 still in the car I figured I wouldn't spend any money on the engine. Instead I would do stuff that is "transferable" from 305 to 350. So I have only headers, then I got a 350 and it slipped right in. $3000 later I have lots of top end and lots of fun.

hey, wait a minute. i don't remember any beer!!!!!!!
engine swaps are not nearly as complicated as most people think. as long as you have a hoist, a good assortment of wrenches, and some common sense you can do it.
jon's actually wouldn't have taken a whole week if we didn't have to wait for a couple of parts to show up and order a new balancer because the stocker was junked.
