My 92 LO3 is begging for one. I want. Aside from people in Missouri that I don't know, are there any shops/sites/places I can get an LT1 cam? Would the dealer sell it?

 

any gm dealer would have it, but around the add board and on ebay you can fine one for like 50 or so.. i found 1 with only 7000 miles any im paying 60 . check around..

i would also suggest upgrading the spings with the cam as well i prevent further problems

 

I bought an LT1 cam w/ 25k miles out of a 95 Z28 for 35 dollars on E-bay.

I got mine for 35 bucks after shipping, 7k miles on it.. just look around, you'll find one, i wouldnt pay over 50 tho

 

thanks for the advice. The valvetrain stuff can get really expensive. A set of 1.6 rockers & springs would cost me around 380 bucks new. I will definately be looking on E-Bay.

 

What kind of springs do you think I should get, then? I think I found someone with an LT1

 

I heard that you had to do computer adjustments if you put in a new cam. I assume I don't have to do this with the LT1? What's the best cam I can get aside from an LT1 that won't require this?

And what about lifters with the new LT1?
