I'm pretty sure, I just want my car to start everytime not sometimes. I read the tech article my symptoms sound like it, but it didn't help me any.

VATS is just a resistor value and there I have yet to hear about it malfunctioning. It's usually when people need to use a backup key and don't have the "chip" in the key. I have a remote starter so there is a resistor wired inline, not a big deal. If you want to know the way to bypass it e-mail me, I have a special $.49 RadioShack part number. My defense on the VATS subject: It's over 10 years old!!! You don't think theifs know how to bypass this? That is why I think it's a stupid rule to not post the REAL way to bypass VATS. Everybody here should have a good security system.

JP,

Yeah, me too. But rules are rules, and I thank you for following them even if we both don't necessarily agree with them. There must be a dozen other sites that openly discuss the system, and hundreds if not thousands of other pages dedicated to getting around the VATS system easily.

But I don't make the rules, soooo....

PS - If you ever have a need for a mildly supersonic flash powder (detonation charge), or a slower burning powder (deflagration charge) I know of many places to find the recipies for that as well. So you can completely blow the hell out of the car if you can't get around the VATS problem.

Where's the justice in that?
