Why '7747

Why do I see this being used so much? Are there equivalent alternatives?

tunercat says. use the ecm your car came with. especially if they have a definition file for it. the reason people were swapping is because until recently it was the most hacked, in other words, most versitile, but most of our ecms have now been hacked enough to use them when burning chips on your own.

I added some comments and if you need help editing the 8746 tdf file let me know. I've got a pretty good handle on it.

I'm not sure what the above link is supposed to be. A doc? JP I sent you a program used for the 8746 ECM. Did you get it. Otherwise maybe snflupigus or someone can host it somewhere if I send it to them.

If there is any interest for it maybe I could create a Winbin ecu file for the 8746 now that there is a good document about it....

Aaron, I figured something funky. If I check my e-mail through the web with crosswinds ccw e-mail I get your e-mail. It seems that it's collected on their server and wasn't downloading to my pc! They said that happens sometimes when they lock an @_____.___ spam addy. Please send to snuf and have him send to me.
I would be interested in having that winbin ecu file.
As for that hack, I found it on the diy_efi.org website.
