she made it clear at the dance, she said, oh he promised not to hit on me, or something like that, hey mr dj, here's a heart....

"Honda's FOR ME TO POOP ON!" -Triumph... ok, i didnt sleep, before this happened, the car occasionaly while driving, you would hit the gas, it would chug, you could hit the gas, but it was like you were blowing thru a straw but trying hard, i would put in neutrul, wait three sec, start again, put in D and then no probs.
weird.... it was llllagin hard, it once threw a code 6 months ago, i didnt check the recent codes (no availability) but last time was fuel pump/relay, i replaced relay, but it still threw it occasionaly.
so what kind of fuel pump???
theres prob an engine swap comming down the road too...
how high does the car have to be?
Is it def that you drop rear end? with tires, without tires?
define droppping tank, is that where the wWOHLE tank is on the floor, or kind of one side? and i know fuel lines are metal so will there be anydifficulty from that?
hm, thats all the quest i can think of....

Just a question, have you replaced your fuel filter lately? Could save you $$$ and it isn't a very hard job.
If you're set on getting a new fuel pump like me (for same reason), then the Walbro pumps are number one for intank replacements.
Just do a search from google for walbro fuel pump and it'll turn up a Syclone guys personal website. He gets them for whole sale and so the 190g pump is 89 and the 255 is 99, not bad for a huge intake replacement

. ok, i was talking to a buddy, this sounds like an idea,
"go under the car take a pipe cutter cuit the line close to the tank take two rubber hoses connect the pump to the old line then use the existing harness from the tank it just unplugs and run it to the new in line pump"
sound good? thanx for your thoughts. the guys want 600 bucks, for pump, strainer and pulsator what ever that is,
if not 379 just for pump

Uhhhhh.... Did you miss JPrevosts' post? For around $100 and an afternoon of your time you can swap in a Walbro 255l/hour pump that will feed your 305 no problemo - and I'm using it right now on my 400 horse 383. If you absolutely must throw away money, please throw it in my direction.

If you absolutely had to you could - I did mine on jackstands and you don't need anything more exotic than handtools. Alternatively, you could spend $50 of that aforementioned $600 and have it towed to your house or to your school. Do what you gotta do man, but think about the amount of money you're about to spend - you could do all of this for under $200 easy. That's $400 to go somewhere's performance related... Drop the axle, exhaust, fuel tank; voila!
I've got a page on my site (under Engine) that details my swap; it includes Ron's website to get the fuel pump from.

"Honda's FOR ME TO POOP ON!" -Triumph... Doing it on jackstands with regular hand-tools: probably two days working on it 8 hours a day. The most frustrating part when I did it was just draining the tank. I had JUST filled up the tank on both of my cars when my pump died, so I had about 15 gallons to drain from the tank, but only two 5 gallon containers around the house, and couldn't pour it into the other car. Plus the filler neck is convoluted at the bend, so it kept catching the siphon tube and not letting it go all the way in.
hey scauf, was the car on a lift? i was thinking about the drain lines, compared to jack stands and fish pump,
Anyways, Thank you so much guys for the responses, Tear, i luv thirdgen.org.....
oh, Im sorry, i cant respond tonight, that chick i went with to the dance,

I just replaced my fuel pump a couple of weeks ago. I took it to a shop to do it, and it cost somewhere in the neighbourhood of $400-$500+parts. I can't quite remember exactly because my IQ is directly porportional to the amount of cash in my bank account
Less cash = Less IQ.
I figured it would take me a few days to fix it myself, and seeing as how I didn't know the first thing about it. I decided it would be better off going to a shop who knows how to do these sorts of things.
I replaced all the parts with Stock replacement parts (AC Delco/Borg Warner). (That way I could still get a warranty for the labor that they did)

All done in a garage on jackstands. As I say on my website (where there are more pix as well), keep the tank on the ground as much as possible to avoid creating static which can light you up. Take your time and be methodical about it and it'll all work out just fine...
