TBI Upgrades....?

I have an 89 RS with a 305 TBI. I have the 14x3 K&N and spintech exhaust. Who has a better TBI unit? Any suggestions? Also, if I change my cam to a LT1, what will I have to do for smog and for it to run correctly. Kinda new to all this, so as much info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The cam should pass the sniff test as long as you have a cat converter and a working EGR system.
Read a lot of the old posts and use the search tool to find info about TB units and why most of use agree they aren't needed unless you're pushing 300+hp.

"Who has a better TBI unit?"

You dont need a high flow TBI right now.
Go here:

or

http://www.turbocity.com

But to answer you question...Holley makes a 670 TBI with 68#? injectors. You could also steal one from a 454 truck and that has 70+# injectors. Both are 2" throttle bores...bigger than your current manifold setup.

I'm using a ported rochester throttle body from Turbo City.Chose this over Holley because I've heard the GM injectors are a little more reliable than the ones on the Holley.Probably don't need either unless you've got 300HP+.

It's deeper, lighter, and ALOT more flow! I noticed an increase in performance just betweeen this and the Flowmaster.
