Just in case any of you didn't know and were dying for one, the TBI Paxton supercharger is up on eBay. I talked to the guy and he said his reserve price is right at about $2100. I dunno, I read it's +85HP and +70 ft-lbs on a stock LO3? I forget...

That is a little high but from the looks of the package it might not be that far off.
Taz, look again at what is in the package and I think if you do the math you will understand why he set it at $2100.
I'd like to know why he's getting rid of it.

its a used system. The bracket is discolored and the k&n is dirty.

 

$2100 is about a thousand too many dollars.
There was a kick-*** whipple supercharged 350 TBI (complete engine!), and last I saw, the bid was at $1600. I drooled so badly, that my keyboard short circuited, and I couldn't place a bid.

Man I wish I saw that Whipple. Paxton sucks. I ran one on my L05 truck for 4 years. In 4 years I replaced 3 units. 2 warrantied and 1 not. $800 for a replacement head unit after lots of complaining. Do a search on the supercharger forum and you will find that I not the only one that has had problems with Paxton. Whipple or ATI is the only way to go with TBI. Vortech or ATI for TPI cars.

Whipple's are awesome. Not sure about Whipple TBI, but I am sure they are awesome.

 

Yeah, the Whipple was kind of an odd setup. As far as I could tell from the pictures, the TBI was mounted near the rear of the supercharger housing, and sort of tilted. It was a pretty simple two-hole upper manifold.
