86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

Before you jump into a custom eprom....why do you need one? What have you done that requires a custom eprom and not just fuel pressure tweak?

I have installed a cam and aftermarket intake. I am also am going to be installing headers, roller rockers, and exhuast soon. what do you guys think? i think my chip is just to "general" for what I have done.

With the mod's in my sig I have not even had to raise fuel pressure yet and I am not running lean and have very few knock counts on the scanner. No counts at WOT or part throttle accel. Only in 5th gear hwy hill climbing. But with a 3.08 rear and .63 5th gear I cruise with a 1.94 final drive! WTF was GM thinking about with that tall of an OD?
You can probably do more mods with only fuel pressure adjustments. See what NJSpeeder has done without a custom chip!

Honestly, we can't really determine if you "need" a new chip or not without knowing the specs on the new cam. The Intake, Headers, exhust and Roller rockers won't "require" and new chip. The cam is what will make a lot of dfference. take a look at my setup below. It was slow as he!! before I started burning my own chips and it was the cam that screwed everything up for me.

what they are saying is that if you have a mellow cam, mellow intake and stock exhaust, you may not need a cam. Are you running EGR? That matters too. what type of gas? what is your FP??? Then, when you add gears/headers/etc, you will have to do it all again... get it?
