91 Camaro Service light flashing.... one the key is on....

ok what could be causeing my service engine light to come on and stay flashing very rapidly....even with just the ignition turned on with the car off....its seems to idle high..and the tranny seems to be in limp mod....i need help please...

The service engine light always comes on when you turn the key on before you start it. You sure it doesnt go off when you actually start the car?

There might be a short to ground in the wire that leads to the A pin in the ALDL connector. That would put the car in field service mode and would cause the SES light to flash. Just a theory.

Engine: 385ci LT1 cnc ported heads big cam
Transmission: 4L60E automatic
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Zexel posi 7.5" rear
Have you messed with the prom lately. That is what is causing mine to flash rapidly. Its in LIMP mode. Runs like crap.

yes..shes in limp mode....high idle...how do i get her out of limp mode...this all happened after a lt1 cam and edel intake....soon headers

Mine is stuck in limp mode as well. Waiting for new ECM to see if that cures it.
