there is the "polished" 454 throttle body...the throttle blades are literally like mirrors

i also did a little modification of the blades and throttle shaft to flow better.

this is a pic of my holley throttle body with my stock injector pod on it. I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it up, and smoothed out a lot of the crappy casting left-overs on the base, and i rebuilt the pod with the AFPR and new gaskets, etc.

came out pretty good. i have a few more pics that came out pretty good too. i will be putting a page on my website pretty soon about the mods that i made.

Hey great pictures!

Could you be a pal and take a picture of the bottom of the 454 TBI? I've always wanted to see the differences in the 454 casting compared to the 350 casting.

thanks!

It still doesn't look like the bores have the same centerlines. I'd like to my hands on those and put them in a cad program

well, since we are already breaking all the rules and getting a little nontech..what di you use to test it? speedtest.net?

i just tested mine on there and i got just .618 Mb/sec. oh well. works for me.

are you at a college? when i was at school we got pretty fast speeds too...but at home with a cable modem i havent seen much higher than 600-700 k/sec.

Thanks for the pictures! I now see how they get away with the bores being so big. The IAC is moved a tid bit it looks like.

I dunno about the centerlines. The 454 unit prolly has the bores set a in little . If you look at the space between the bores, where the throttle shaft runs, I notice it's very thin. Yet the distance from bores to the bolt hole is not that much different from the 350 unit.

its smokin right now. Probably at max.
2.2
megabits per second
This is how communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples of this context include 56k modem, 384/128 DSL, and 10Mbit Ethernet

Storage context

263.8
kilobytes per second
This is how data is measured on your hard drive and how FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.

1MB file download

3.9
seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed

yupyup. I bet mine would be a lot better if they ran new cable line to the street. We always had problems with the cable back in the day. We've had satalight TV for 5-6 years now. Too bad no speedvision I'm gonna look into digital cable to get speedvision. They have awesome stuff comparted to the NASCAR crap on every regualr racing channel. Rally racing, Trans Am series, Vette C5-Rs, soon the new Viper GTS-R...

Too bad Speedvision has been "filling" with the 1/2 hpour Bowflex infomercial, lately. On all the time, it seems... I guess they got to get the bills paid...

I checked out *** (no joking please ) down in San Diego and they are twice as fast as Road Runner, but I think their upload rate was lower.

Yes, now if you would give it to me I would care a little more
edit: I still hate you for being able to get the air cleaner to fit under the hood!
re-edit: But I've got your engine mounts so we're even.

I could live with a slow connection after having a t1 at Colorado state. 50$ a month is worth it all the way.
