IMO we already talked about that on FSC... it is NOT an option. i refuse to buy cheap parts, and a good regulator will run me more than a stock style AFPR and a complete set of fuel lines from the tank to the throttle body. external regulator is NOT going to happen.

You can DIY an adjustable stock type regulator pretty easily.

if i were to do the DIY AFPR mod, along with a small spacer, i should be able to surpass the 14 psi limit that just the DIY mod will give you correct? if im tearing into it, i'm doing a full rebuild of the TBI, new diaphragm and spring in the FPR for sure. i already have a Z28 TPI pump in the tank, so the pump handling it wont be a problem.
sorry for seeming short in my previous post. i just realized i dont have the same ID as i do over there, so unless you read both profiles very carefully you wouldnt have a clue it was me.

Last I heard you can buy a "one step" stronger TBI spring from an advertiser on this forum top down solutions. i bought one a while back and it is maybe 10-20% stronger....

That spring is $4.75 at TDS. If that doesn't fit your budget, nothing will!

just about any spring made of music wire with the right dimensions will do if you want more then 20 PSI. Lots of large suppliers carry these types of springs. I used a spring from mcmaster carr to get stronger springs so I could have 30-50 PSI of fuel pressure.

just looking at the xtreme-fi regulators on Ebay. they say 8-40psi, which should more than cover what im wanting to do, and the price isnt bad. is this unit any good? supposed to be easily adjustable without removing the injector pod.
