I think I figured out what engine in my 88 Firebird?
I think I may have figure out the best senerio for my 88 Formula firebird
Tell me what you think.
GM replacement motor #12530283, 96-00 3/4 ton pu vortec
vortec intake for TBI
Hooker 2055 headers and y-pipe w/air fittings
larger injectors in factory TBI
a chip adaptor for 24 pin programable chips
a chip burner and blank chips
a ALDL cable
Software
what wold be a good cam choice. From everything I have read that engine comes equipt with a roller cam?
If I put a cam in I would like to before I put the engine in in the car.
Thanks
Doug

I received your e-mail. I think you're headed the right direction. Are there any engine builders local to you?

You might want to consider a transfer case and live, front axle to handle all the ice and snow of the North Pole.

You're right about that. You can get a GM Vortec 350 replacement engine and 4 bolt main to boot for right around 2K if I'm not mistaken.

You could say that the now Lithia Cherolet here used to be called Tip Top Chevrolet that my grandfather and his partners originally started in 1957. We were bought out when I was 10 in 1980 when he died of heart attack inn Palm springs. But I still know people ang get fair prices
Wish he was still alive things shure would be different. Not to mention the story's I could have herd about the old gold mining days.
Why rebuild when you can get new for a good price??!!!
