ok so recently i did some stuff to my car, no ac, air pump and i re plumbed the heater core lines, so i didnt have enough gas to run it long so i could fill it up all the way so i let it sit but i did try running it, it started to run rich so i checked everything but it set an engine light off, code 15 and code 23 but im not sure what would cause them unless my cts went bad? but it shouldnt make the car run that bad i dont think, someone let me know wat they think

 

can some one please help me im stumped here

 

Both of these codes suggest temperature sensor problems. 15 coolant, and 23 IAT, both showing cold.
That'll make it run very rich. Yeah, it could run that bad, or worse.

 

yeaa well wat would have made them go bd? and wat do i do to fix the problem?

 

My first thought is a bad connection somewhere.
Yeah, they could both be bad, but I doubt it. Your post implies that it was OK before, so I'd suspect you knocked off a wire somewhere.

 

yeaa idk, i looked up the codes online and it said 15 Coolant temperature sensor signal indicates a temperature colder than -38� F for 3 seconds. and on another it said for 15 Coolant temperature sensor or circuit (shorted)
and 23 Manifold air temperature sensor signal showed an air temperature below -22� F after the engine has been running for 5 minutes. also on another for 23 is Intake air temperature sensor or circuit (open) , idk wat i did, i unplugged the iat a few times b4 and had no prob and the previous guy b4 me spliced the cts and it was ghetto and i fixed and checked after this problem so idk should i replace the cts and iat and see wat happens? ill get a iat from a junk yard and buy a new cts

 

Personally, I think you should check the wiring VERY carefully.

 

i just did the resistance on the cts and is was 345 so idk, ill see if i can go to my tech school nd use the scan tool one day
