Would this be a good exhaust for my stock 305?

Hello, im looking to buy a new exhaust for my 92 camaro. My exhaust now is cracked and i need a new one. I was looking at the Magnaflow cat-back system. Is this a good system to use with the L03?, will i lose or gain MPG and will i lose or gain horsepower?, here is a link to the system i want http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/16829/10002/-1 . And has any one used this system on their car before?

you should just save money and buy a hooker catback for tpi cars, great sound, and great price

Yeah it would be a great exhaust for your car. The only problem will be the sound if that's is what you are interested in. Magnaflow sound great at WOT but quiet riding around. The flow is excellent.

Quick question regarding this exact system. I recently had it installed on my '91 RS and while it has a nice mellow rumble, it shocked me how untterly quiet it is. Honestly, the stock unit had more bite. What would the first steps to opening it up if at all possible?

Hookers sound good, but if you are in an area with winter/salt it will be ruined in 2 years. All the bends rust out and muffler ends rust out. Ask me how I know? Very disappointing.

Won't happen with the stainless magnaflow. Yes magnaflow is a nice mellow sound for cruising and get loud at wot.

I have coated 2055's with a 3 inch Aerochamber catback. nice mellow throaty sound just cruising. Demonic, Brutal WOT. I HIGHLY recommend it. Plus it flows very well.

I know people don't like the edelbrock shorties but I have a set with the y pipe and a flowmaster cat back and it has a real nice low rumble but gets me in trouble at WOT, I plan to yank the cat out and cut it open and weld a straight pipe in and seal it up and bolt it back in so that it looks legal.

Is there anyway to open them up any more just crusing around? I remember back a few years back I had an Eclipse that I installed a 2.5 catback Magnaflow system on and while it was very quiet at first, once the shop that installed them removed the "resinator pipe" or so they referred to it, it really sounded good. Well...for a non-turbo Eclipse at least. I kind of wanted something with a little more bite then these.

Don't know of a way to make the catback louder, however Magnaflows often get somewhat louder with age since it is not a chambered design. Also with a high flow cat and headers mine is plenty loud for me. But then I am not running a stock 305.
