Looks good. I remember when I had that much crap in my engine bay. Damn that was a while ago.

My engine bay looks so damn tacky with my chrome OAE, with that dirt, oil and who knows what else...

He doesent have AC or heat from what I can see.
The strutbar is from edelbrock and you can buy it from Jegs or Summit Racing.
Just do a search on here for the MSD 6 series ignition box, I honestly dont think it really does much for a street motor.
And he removed AIR, AC, heater core, charcoal canister, and maybe other stuff

where and what exactly did you get for your open element...did you notice a difference? I was considering getting one, but did not know which was the best...any links?

I've removed pretty much everything under the hood that the car doesn't need to run. I'll be rerouting my fuel lines here shortly to get it alittle cleaner.
I do miss the heat and the wipers sometimes though but where I live it's not that big a deal.

Re: New open element installed!
I haven't noticed a whole lot yet. You probably will only see nominal gains at best, it sounds better and runs cleaner so I guess it better for the engine plus its looks pretty good as well. I just found out that I have a stock exhaust on my car with just 2 pipes on it, so if I buy a new muffler that may make me notice it more as well.

Basically all the power you get from your exhaust is in your headers.

Actually you can get great gains from replacing that 2.5 inch bottleneck with a strong 3 inch catback. Even the L03 trucks came with 3 inch and they had 10 more horsepower and 20 more foot pounds of torque IIRC.

Re: New open element installed!
Ya, maybe he meant just the muffler which is what I said, lol, I meant the whole exhaust with a 3' catback, maybe a flowmaster, any recommendations?

Re: New open element installed!
I dont know what you guys think about flowmaster but my local muffler guy wont put them on anymore unles the customer absolutely demands it. He told me that ever since they lost their patent on the design their mufflers have gone to shhhht. He has had numerous ones come back with cracks in them. So if you just want to say I got a flowmaster look at other brands that have copied the design and are little cheaper in price.

Goalie,
Why not take advantage of that ram air hood you got? I know the airbox is expensive. Anyone make their own airbox yet.

These guys appear to have one and the price came down since I looked last. Check out the spectere cold air intake kit from the Horsepower TV post on the TBI board. They have a 90' bend and 3" pipe that goes straight down the center line of the motor, right to where the airbox above inlet is.
I wanna do that so that is why I am seeing if you think it would work.
