Injectors not fireing
What would stop the injectors in a 91 5.0L TBI from spraying? I have changed the ECM, didn't help. I have checked the fuel pump, its working. I have also pulled the fuel line off at the engine and its getting gas. When I dump gas into the engine it fires off and runs fine, but the injectors wont spray.
Thanks in advance

Re: Injectors not fireing
The injector pods could be bad, check the resistance of them with a multimeter.
I don't think they're that expensive to replace.

Doesn't VATS inhibit the injectors? (Chip in key security) I know it drops out something fuel related and it's either the fuel pump relay or the injectors. Check to see if the security light come on at start up and then goes off. If it stays on it did not read the chip, if it never comes on then bulb is burnt or electrical problem.

Re: Injectors not fireing
ignition control module, vats, pickup coil and ecm are the only thing that could inhibit fuel at the pods (other than the obvious wiring and connections of course). test your icm with a ohm meter thats where i would start.....

Re: Injectors not fireing
Hopefully this isn't your problem, but it was mine;( If you say you have gas running out if you disconnect the fuel line.........what happens when you turn the car over? Does the gas now spray out? The reason I ask is becuase I had a seperation at the fuel pump to hard line in the tank. I had to pull the taank to prove it. Once dropped, I pulled the pump and the rubber line (only about 2") was basically all goo and seperated. Sucked!
I would start by checking your fuel pressure.

Re: Injectors not fireing
There are a number of things this could be. Check your fuel pressure. Should be about 30lbs. If that is good then check for current at the injectors with the key on. If that is good you have either a bad injector ground or injector.
