I'm lost. What ECM do you have now? There are few different # ECMs and I am no expert on all of them. If you are going to put a different motor in your car than stock, I would suggest getting an EBL from dynamicefi.com. That is what I got when I went 305 to 350. I sent in my stock 90 7747 and had them upgrade it to EBL, but you can have them provide the ECM as well.

What was the stock set-up of your 86? 305 TBI? If so, your ECM will work but you definitely have to re-tune it and for that the EBL is worth it's weight in gold, no, make that platinum with diamond sprinkles.

To cut down on guesswork why don't you put pictures of your current setup with extensive description and were you want to go from there. Get photos placed on a free hosting service so that full resolution photos can viewed. Otherwise, above mentioned mess will not result in answers.

If you have to start over with the wiring, I personally would skip over the TBI and use something a little more advanced.


Are you wanting a roots or centrifigal blower? With roots a carb is a good choice, but a centrifigal will need a good fuel injection setup.
