350 Upgrades?

What should I do? I got a 350 5.7L from a 1991 chevy 1500 silverado w/ computer, so i'm swapping it over to my camaro, but i'm wanting to do a little work to it, what would be the best options for this tbi to get more power?

Re: 350 Upgrades?

Do you plan on doing any tuning? That will determine what can/should be done to the motor.

Re: 350 Upgrades?

Would it be easy for me to know how to tune? I would prefer to tune later!

Re: 350 Upgrades?

This thread was started to help those that are beginning tuning. after checking it out read the stickies in DIY-PROM. there is one there that give you more of a technical reference to tools you need and terms you will run across.

Easy? I stuggled with Geometry but found Algebra easy.

Re: 350 Upgrades?

i just posted in the swap thread because now i'm questioning if its going to work. i'm swapping over the computer w/ prom and the complete 350 tbi engine from the 91 chevy silverado 1500 to my 89 camaro 305 tbi, anything i should look to be swapping or buying new? both have the 700r4's so i don't see a problem but maybe the wiring?

Re: 350 Upgrades?

ESC module or knock sensor from 350 cid
ignition module for 350 cid

I believe the harness-ECU is compatible. If not I recall Turbo City may sell an adapter? Check their site for info

89 camaro I think has IAT. check if the 91 truck has same. If not it has to be turned off in chip.bin
