well i just put my headers in today in my 91 camaro 305 tbi and it dosnt accelerate well and it sputters like crazy help please

 

double check your spark plug wires, thats where I would start

 

i will tomorrow but could a loss of air cause the car to sputter and not run right

 

how could you lose air? with headers there will be more free flowing air out the exhaust and run alot better. definitely check the wires and the plugs. i have a 91 camaro and i put headers on it and some of the plugs are very hard to get to make sure they are tight and make sure the spark plug wires are all the way on the plugs and not burning against the new headers. i did that a few times

 

yea thats what it was the wires that where in it had poped off when the exhaust guys put them on n they also forgot to put my o2 sensor on wen i looked today

 

thats great that you found out what it was. you gotta have the o2 sensor it helps with gas mileage.

 

yea im gonna have to buy a new o2 sensor since i cant get the old 1 out but thanks for the help i would never of thought about the wires

 

Nice that it was that simple. That is one reason why I do the work myself. A lot of shops have idiots or people that just rush the job.

 

yea i know that now kinda lost patients with the box sitting in my room.. but i did get a firing order and i know which ones i have to fix now

 

well i fixed the plug wires and the car runs better but it still feels like somethings wrong might be not having the o2 sensor talking to the computer in the car but its still way better than b4
