Re: tbi intakes ??
the reason i am wondering about the intakes and T.B. is i am thinking about building 400 sbc. with a set of tpi or vortec heads(not sure witch way to go yet ). and i just wanted to know if any of these aftermarket intakes where better then the stockers.
not looking for monster power here just somthing that works great.
thanks

Re: tbi intakes ??
the edelbrock is better than stock. I'm guessing your running a 305 bored .030? The stock tb will do the job. Unless your going with bigger heads and large cam.

Have you done a search here?
There is not a ton of data (especially on the Holley), but you will find some if you search for it.

Re: tbi intakes ??
On Holley site it specifies the model year. -49 for 1962-1986 or 1987 with alum heads. -66 for 1987- later cast iron heads. I run that Holley. Another option is a weiand single plane Accellerator(low profile) with TBI adapter plate. Vortec may require a carb manifold due to cost factor.
