Well the situation is that I just dropped a 305 with vortecs and a LT1 cam in my car Sunday but I have valve springs with a damper on it. I watched the installation of the valve springs and the mechanic was able to spin them freely without the damper scraping the guides...they would barely touch....I heard that vortecs cant use valve springs with dampers....is this true? what could happen if I drive it with the dampers? Motor hasnt turned on yet because I'm still waiting on my afpr and tbi injectors to arrive. If i cant use these springs what can I use? I appreciate any response.
