tbi manifold upgrade questions

my 91 rs has a 5.0 tbi. it has hedman headers going through no cat into a flowmaster. other upgrades are open air element, pod spacer, emissions delete and a/c delete. its a 5spd with 4.10 gears out back. years ago a friend of mine modded my chip for performance. i dont know what all he did to it but after putting it back in, i deleted the egr, canister and adjusted the timing. the car ran really good with only a couple of issues.
after researching, the egr and canister are going back on. the egr was not maxed out during the chip upgrading. im sure this will stop the code 32 and help the car not run so rich.
after more reading here on the forum, im looking at swapping the stock manifold for an edelbrock 3706 with an adapter plate. it seems its a little more performance and cheaper than the 3704. will the stock egr bolt up to this? everything else appears to be able to hook up or bolt in.

i have "misplaced" my egr and plumbing for my canister, and as they are expensive, i dont want to buy another one if the egr will not work on the 3706.

Holley makes a good tbi intake too, it has egr mounting(& block off), brackets, & hardware. They have em for both early & 87 up heads.

Re: tbi manifold upgrade questions

my heater hose plugs into the back of the stock manifold next to the distributor. am i correct that the fitting is in front of the manifold on the passenger side on the holley?

I can't remember if the hose is in the front or not, it doesn't matter heater will work the same. Edlebrock intake looks like a direct bolt on, I've heard they only make slightly better low speed torque then stock.

Re: tbi manifold upgrade questions

would you have to tune your car if you get the intake?

Hard to say. Surface area is larger then stock so it may throw off AE aka pumpshot.

Re: tbi manifold upgrade questions

yes the water outlet on the edelbrock intake is on the front pass side. the rear cooling passage is blocked off.
