*help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

so my blue racer cam wolverine is a tappet and im really close to putting it in everyone knows prep takes longer than the build
my friends going to help me his main concern was getting enough feul to power to make it run right told me to ask summit so i did
asked
summit
jegs
crane cams

crane cams say it would work

thus brings us to jegs.. ..
jegs threw something in my face i didnt even think about

he says
"it will not work due to the fact the lifter bore size is bigger cause it is roller there fore the tappet lifter will be to small. . . "

im fustrarted beyond belief im aksking opinions/facts
regarding this

lets say they are smaller will it still run decent
wat can i buy (besides a new cam and lifters) in order fot it to fit

if any one else has done a build like this plz help

roller to tappet cam . .. .

Re: *help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

lifters are the same size. and btw when you purchased that cam and posted it up most of us said it wasnt an ideal cam for your engine. you should get different pushrods for your setup. I am running a flat tappet cam in my engine where a roller lifter was once there with no ill effects. So you'll be fine as long as the parts are made properly.

My advise, since you do not appear to have a clue about what you're going to do and your friend has certain preferences towards parts he prefers to work with is to listen to him.

If he fitted a cam before and tells you he's not certain this will fit, don't fit it.

Of course you can throw money at the cam you have now and pray, but the more sound approach would be to discard the current cam, sell it on ebay or somesuch and consider the loss "learning money", then ask your friend which cam he would pick up for your car and have him help you fit it.

As undercoverTBI already posted you pretty much ignored the advise provided in a previous post, so I guess this post is wasted energy on my behalf, but you have someone who wants to help you and come here asking for information to contradict what he's advising you.

If you haven't upgraded your fuel supply your friend might be right about the fuel part. Read the stickies to learn more about that. It's all there.

im not ignoring at all i read all of the post im just wanted to use wat i got

im also not contardicting anyone

i got valve springs
pushrods and timing chain

id listen to everyone saying that it wasnt a ideal cam i didnt ignore it
i already have the cam might as well try it
also everything so far is ideal
pudhrods springs

imma go to autozone ask for stock lifters
compare diameter
worse comes to worse like solatiare said it will be learning money

Well go to autozone. you will only need to buy one lifter first to compare.

and also i was told hydrauliic lifters are same size in diameter just like
tbi said never hurts to check

Re: *help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

Well when you remove the cam visually inspect the cam bearings, key part is you do not want to knick them too badly when removing and installing the cam. you should be fine.

yeah its not as bad as you think. Just make sure on the intake use a thick bead of black rtv silicone. dont mess with the end seals. I also like to put silicone around the water ports on the intake gasket.

Re: *help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

well i reread it just now. You still have to use the normal gaskets on the sides for the ports but on the end's you use the silicone.

Re: *help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

so been told by summit on the phone that it will work with custom chip

on emails says tbi want work with that due to lobe being 110
but a custom chip might help

so downloaded tune pro and amm gettin a ecm flash ordeal that
xch3no2 suggested in a other post to tune

(due to the fact i will be making more mods figure this be cheaper than keep buying chips)

so with lifters fit
50/50 chance its goona run right

going to be interesting

believe me and my buddy can make it work

Re: *help* the more i research bout my cam the more problems come up

well it sucks to say but next pay check bills came into play and took half my check
(i only make minimum)

so i dont have enough to get it yet so two weeks from now. . . .
it sucks.. . .

bi weekly takes a whiile

so pushes this build even farther . .. .. .
unless theres a cheaper alternative route to take

but any who
everythings ready except for that .. . .. . .

im impatient. ..
