ive already read the swap guide. what im wondering is, is there any sites that sell any decent after market chips that will take the 5.7 into consideration? i went and bought an 89 caprice chip but returned it because it did not fit and i didnt want to buy the caprice ecm. any links or info is appreciated.

 

www.tbichips.com they sell hot chips for the 5.7 which you use on a mild stock build. Im more curious why the chip would not fit in your ecm.

 

im not sure, i took the plate off of the ecm (that is how you do it right?) and the chip was a completely different kind. the caprice chip was tiny. ive read in some places i might need to replace the ecm but ive also been told theyre compatible

post some pictures! was the car originally tbi? im thinking maybe someone swapped a later truck ecm in there or something

yeah! the caprice chip was tiny! lol. ill probably contact the link provided earlier and have a custom chip made. ive got just about everything else done to it, but its still running lean
