500hp 350tbi?
500hp 350tbi?
Im new here, and really want to build a 500hp engine for my unit, it currently has a 350 tbi. but as far as ive read a tbi 350 can only support 330 hp because thats what the largest injectors could do?
If its possible, what do i need to do?

here is what you need to know about a TBI. The most hp is 400-450. http://www.tbichips.com/305mods.htm , http://www.cfm-tech.com/ If you wanna do it I have everything you need and would be willing to sell it all to you in a few months if you can wiat for a lot less. I have the ported 620CFM TBI the 454 injectors the 18 psi spring, and some other let me know if you are interested. The first link is the best link for info the seconds link is where you can buy most of it. But you will need to send in your chip to the first link to get it reflashed. All the info is on there site. Any questions about parts or anything let me know. As I said before if you wanna go this route and can wait a little bit of time I can sell all my stuff.
Good luck on the build

Hate to tell you nealey, that guy doesn't know squat about TBI and big horsepower.
Just so I don't sound too harsh, he has helped many people, and has some happy customers. It's just they are not running far from stock performance.
Don't parrot what he says in this matter, you will most often be wrong.
CFMtech is also a VERY poor source of information.

Re: 500hp 350tbi?
I have a crate 350 in my Firebird with a little over 30,000 miles and TBI. I plan on following this:
http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/sc...les/index.html
Some time in the future when im done with my degree and have the time, i plan on building an LS something or other. But for now, im going to follow what they did in that 350 bolt-on buildup and see what i get. Should be relatively easy spring break, summer projects.
