5.7 tbi clean up

Hey guys I have a 5.7 tbi and would like to know what all I can remove and it still work good. EGR valve ? Charcoal canister ?
I know I have to keep a vacuum hose for the map sensor but is that it?
And if I remove all that stuff will I need a new chip?

Thanks

Keep the ccp. If you remove the egr you will get a code 32. Unless you have a prom burned.

If you don't know, you shouldn't be messing with it.

What chip are you running in it now the stock 305 chip? If so you are leaving power on the table there already.

Does the computer work properly? Have you checked the memory and the data stream with a scan tool? I'd have expected that to set and store codes.

I've had people tell me that their modified vehicle doesn't show codes...and then found out that the MIL is burnt-out; the codes are stored but can't illuminate the dash light.
