Advance on LT4 cam

I am going to be installing an LT4 cam in a while. I got a new timing chain and gear set. I was wondering if you guys install the cam with some timing advance or just line the dots straight up? Just want some opinions. Thanks

Advancing a camshaft promotes low-end power...
Retarding a camshaft promotes high-end power...

If you've got some high flowing intake and exhaust modifications it might do to install it a bit retarded. If you've got mostly stock intake/exhaust it might do to install it straight up or slightly advanced.

I would install it straight up.

You're going to gain enough with it installed straight up, so I wouldn't worry about anything.

Thanks. I do have intake and exhaust mods. I was planning on just doing it straight up anyway but just wanted some more input.

I used the LT-4 cam in my 305 and it brings good power so I got one for the 350 we built and it is strong!!!! However you never said what heads you have (remember the LT-4 has high lift) make sure you have valve stem clearance. I installed my cam straight up, thats the only way I would do it.
