Wanted: Roller Lifter Setup.
Wanted: Roller Lifter Setup.
Hey guy's-
I'm looking for a slightly used Roller rocker setup to convert my LO5 hydraulic 350 to the roller lifter setup. I have the provisions and everything on my block. I'm switching to a LT1 cam soon.

Only $180 from a dealer NEW for lifters, lifter locators, locator spider holdown, spider bolts/washers.
you'll also need a special t-chain KIT from GMPP that includes the t-chain and the plate and screws taht hold the cam in the block. flat-tappet t-chain won't work on an OEM roller cam like the LT1.
Also, need 7.200" or so long pushrods, not 7.8" flat-tappet pushrods. Also, need new valve springs, in most cases, to take the ramp speed and stop valve float.

Nate,
I am converting over to a split set of 1.6/1.5 Crower Stainless Steel Roller Rockers. Currently they are all 1.5. So I could sell you 8 slightly used rockers (3k miles) with you buying another 8 from Crower. They will sell split sets. Let me know if you are interested

Thanks,
GMPP P/N 12371043 = timing chain/gears and roller cam retaining plate kit (1st and 2nd design plates!)
GMPP P/N 12371042 = 2nd design (higher ball preload) roller lifters (16) with (8) lifter aligners and (1) spider hold-down and (3) spider attaching bolts/washers.
GMPP P/N 10456413 = bronze HEI (large-cap, non-computer controlled internal-coil HEI) gear for use with steel roller camshaft.
Anyone have the P/N for the bronze/roller gear for the external-coil TBI small-shaft distributors???? For steel roller cam use?

Fastbroker,
I don't think you want to use a bronze gear on the distributor. Make certain that whatever cam you get comes with a ductile iron distributor gear on it. CompCams sells their cams this way.

If you use a non-bronze gear with a GM steel camshaft, you are in for trouble. All we've been talking about is GM cams, lately. You've all been warned.
