'89 TBI heater hose routing?

What is the factory way the heater hoses were routed on the '89 5.0 TBI? I'm doing away with a poorly done carb. conversion by the previous owner of a, '89 Camaro I bought recently and put the engine compartment back to original, more or less, .

Thanks for any help.

You need a service manual for that vehicle.

I get mine used, from eBay, at advantageous prices.

Service manuals on disc (CD--DVD) are adequate but hard to scroll. Easy to "search", though. Overall, I much prefer paper manuals.

Are you planning to reuse the heater control valve?

Re: '89 TBI heater hose routing?

I'll probably replace it with an inline manual valve. I'm doing away with the A/C - at least for now - because it's just going to be one more headache to have to deal with in getting this engine going again. I never liked how GM did their A/C back then anyway because they always had that great big evaporator core box (with the dryer mounted in front of it) that took up so much space in the engine compartment, making it very difficult to do simple things like change the spark plugs.

I think I'm just going to do the heater hoses how I'm used to doing on SBC engines, running one hose to the front of the intake manifold and the other hose to the water pump. It probably doesn't matter much anyway as long as where they go are tapped into a water jacket.
