going to buy heads, need to inspire a 10% discount at Summit
Just what it says. I'm wishing Summit would have 10% discount again.I would also like to buy a G-tec and some valve covers at the same time. Hint Hint.
Do you suppose if enough of us hinted it would do any good?
I am going to try hinting over on the vender review board.Any one want to come with me? The more the marrier.

I started a post over on the vender review board.
Please go there and state what you would buy if Summit would offer a 10% discount. If we get enough people responding we could forward the post to Summit. Those of you that hang out on other boards at this site could mention my post on the vender review board.

Come on TBI people. Lets get some support for my thread over on the vender review board. All I'm asking is for people to post what they would buy if Summit would give us a 10% group discount. Every body is talking mods, gota buy stuff somewhere.
I have had 70 people view the thread and only 5 responded so far.I dont think thats enough to impress Summit.

Why don't you just try asking Summit for the discount? Lots of folks don't like participating in wishing and dreaming, but will buy stuff when a discount is available. If you want a discount, just ask for it.

I guess you cant read very well can you? The plan is to get lots of posts and then show thread to Summit. Typicaly when you have a group purchase you first need a group that is purcasing something. I thought the same aproach might work for a group discount.
If you want to try a different way then go for it. Otherwise get off my case.

I'm not "on your case." I just stated my opinion that folks shouldn't talk to each other, they should talk directly to (in this case) Summit. Talk is cheap, my friend... internet talk is ESPECIALLY cheap, and no doubt Summit has heard more times than they could count that "our club wants to buy alot from you!" and it turns out only a few people were really serious - the rest were "wishing and dreaming" about stuff they'd like to buy (and can't afford, discount or not...).
Why not just ask Summit for a discount for this group? The worst they could say is "no." If they say we need "X" amount of dollars spent/participants/whatever, then you could post that and get their required number of "whatever" to participate.
Sorry to upset you,
Rob
