MAXIMUM Lift with 64cc TBI Truck heads???

those heads and flat top pistons.....how much valve clearance if I run a cam with lift in the low 500's on the exaust side? Also forgot, the block has been decked too, so it has maybe has 10 thousandths taken off.

The .450" lift limit doesn't have anything to do with piston to valve clearance. The heads themselves have to be modified to run more lift. Run a search on high lift with vortecs.

even with flat tops, the stock dished are quite a bit different. Also, what would limit the heads on lift, other than piston to valve clearance? Springs?

Valve guide to retainer clearance and springs.

The only limit I can see is that the stock valve guides and springs will only haldle .450 to .460 lift I had mine taken down to haldle .550 lift. I run a lt4 cam with .480 lift on th e exhaust and have no problems.

thanks guys, I guess I can use the ZZ3 cam after all, just need to have the shop check piston to valve clearance. The combo of stock heads, milled block, and flat top pistons makes me nervous ya know. I want to use a better cam than I have now, but I wan't sure on the lift issue.
