I just bought my car, and within a couple weeks, the rear tires are fading fast. They're almost slicks now. I do a few burnouts here and there, but usually only when I fill my gas tank. I can only afford 2 for the rear right now, and was wondering what you guys preferred for street tires, in terms of wear, traction, and looks. The ones on there now are 215 60r 15. Thanks

Sounds like you are harsh on tires. My advise is to cut back on the unecessay wear and tear on the car.. Goto PepBoys or some other parts store and buy their high milage tires. They are cheap and generally a harder tire. That will make the tire last longer. The stock size tire for your wheels is: 235/60-R15.

Check up on the burn outs, no wonder those poor 15" tires do not
last. I bet just a FEW burn outs.

Take a look at the Dunlop SP A2's. They have a 420 treadwear rating. Very good and they're H rated. I've been pleased with the toughness and grip of the BF Goodrich's VR4's but the Dunlops are goin on my car soon.

Thanks

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...............Dont go to Pep Boyz....Trust me way OVERPRICED..... Look around at smaller chains and you will be surprised what you find. I have...I believe....225-60-15s on mine.... At the track I hold my RPM's at 3 to 3.5k before I let of the clutch and I barely spin at all.. Any higher though...........>>>>>>

I've tried Cooper Cobra's and agree that they were very sticky... unless it was rainy out. Everytime it rained i'd have zero traction and end up getting sideways. haha.

Anyways, look into the bfgoodrich tires they're usually not that expensive in 15" sizes and excellent quality.

I got some nice road huggers 245/50zr16 at discount for 75 dollars a peice. They are pretty wide and have a good tread pattern. They were probably more expensive than you 215/60's though.
