How much power gained from windage tray???

I was wondering how much power you will actually gain from a windage tray. Also do they make any good ones to fit the stock oil pans?

none, but you won't lose any either and that's what it's really made for

it depends on how high you spin your motor. Usually around 5-7 hp..I think I saw one gain 14 once but it was a 7000rpm big block.

I wish I had a 7000 rpm big block. I dont think mine will go above 6000 really. My cam is supposed to peak at 5800. Is there a brand I should get? They do make them that will work in the stock oil pans dont they?

To really do it right, custom fit strippers are a little better than a windage tray alone. One big advantage is that at sustained high RPM you don't get nearly the foaming that you might without one.

I bought the moroso kit for $35, it had a windage tray, crankshaft scraper and a baffle for the back of the pan by the oil pump. It all fit on a stock pan.

Have to use main studs with it too. I got the ARPs for around $40, i think, good insurance though.

They say it doesn't make noticeable power on mild engines, but I thought the parts made sense and for that low of a price, its worth the piece of mind.

So it only cost 40 dollars for the main studs? Are the studs stronger than just using bolts? Sorry, this is the first time I have really done much to a motor intearnally.

Everything I read before I did it said the studs were stronger than bolts, and ARP is the only brand I use inside my engine.
