It's real simple.
Remove 305. Set aside.
Install 350.
Done!!
350s are pretty easy to find in most places, especially 2-piece rear-main-seal ones. You want more than just the short block, however; the heads that come on 305s, while they will fit 350s, suck. They are mostly built for gas mileage and good low-RPM torque at the expense of horsepower and general high-RPM performance. But, external things like accessories, exhaust systems, ignition systems, etc. are the same between the 2 sizes.

I dunno why i would wnt too, just never heard of it and wasn't sure.... I was going to do theswap but i've got 2 g's into my car already and have another 1 g to spend, i dont want to put too much money into her right now, and im just not sure what to use the money on
I am in the same sort of situation that you are in... I have some money right now and I am putting it into the 305, what I am doing though is purchasing parts that are all going to transfer over to my 350 when someday I get around to putting it in. (intake carb headers etc...)
