There a way to fix this oil leak?

my new engine leaks oil from the back of the oil pan, you know that hump that is sealed with silicone? well yeah its leaking there and i was wondering if there is a way to fix that without pulling the pan off.

Not really no. you can try cleaning it up and slathering some RTV up there...but the success rate of that is fairly low. Generally you have to replace the oil pan gasket.

I had that problem on a non 3rd gen. I put up a new gasket but those 4 piece cork pos are a biotch to seal. I got lucky and was able to stop the leak the second time I smeared RTV up there.

Yeah I hear ya this "hobby" does get a bit expensive...Ive been fighting oil leaks since my swap, fortunatly mypan is about the only thing that hasnt leaked. My motor sat in a garage for about 1 1/2 before I bought it, and things dried up a bit....It seems some places you can engineer some stuff, the old . "Thats good enough" thing, Other times ya just gotta bite the bullit and do it.
So whats your other Idea?
