I have the CVR one for both bolt patterns (4 bolt holes in the nosepiece) on my 10½:1 400, works like a charm, seems like it was about $170

Also look at the 4th gen starters. Most were gear reduction starters from the factory. If you have the right flywheel, it will save you some trouble. Thats what I did with mine. Since it was a bit small, the headers did not effect it either.

I'm using the CSI high torque start. 1.6 HP motor and cranks motor up to 468 CID and 12:5:1 compression. Fits both 153 or 168 tooth flywheels.

Just got the tommyjohnson starter up in the car. Easy to do.
It cost me 120 for the mini/high torque starter. Talk about turning that engine over fast! I could probably drive the car without the engine and just the starter.
Anyway it's also for the 153 or 168 tooth flywheels. My stock starter weighed 19 lbs. this one weighs 10 lbs.

hey viper killer i'd been having the same problems you outlined in another thread about not starting - a new starter helped that much? do you have aftermarket headers ? i think my headers have baked the **** out of my starter and i need a new one

That depends on which thread to which you're referring. Which one?
My starter somehow went bad when I changed my oil pan
