It gets so hot inside my car that i cant even rest my arm on the center console. The heat that comes up from the tranny must be 175 degrees. i have small burn marks on my arms from the screws on the console. I doubt my radio is gonna much longer. what can i do to stop the heat from coming in. I know there is Special stuff out there for this but its $100 for square foot. I also want to keep the noise out too. will dyno mat keep heat out or is there another material i can use to block both heat and noise at the same time. please help soon im losing 10lbs a day from sweating so much

Rent your car as a "rolling sauna" for a few weeks to accumulate some cash. The insulation blankets may be expensive, but are the best answer to your heat radiation problem. Getting some air flow under the car would help a little, too.

i HATE those screws when they are hot! also my power window buttons are there and they burn too. i had little burns for a week one time because of those... but mine get hot from the sun being on them all day not the tranny?

I put a transmission cooler on my 87 and it cut the heat I feel from the trans tunnel in half. the best 35 bucks I spent all month if you ask me.

Truechoice has aluminized heat cloth that is $43.95 per square yard (nine square feet).

But definitely check the other suggestions to ensure that something isn't malfunctioning etc.
