Texas Inspection Passing Questions

Now, before you say a word, I already changed out all the spark plug wires. See my intake, how it is the older style, when I took my car to get my Texas inspection sticker, the inspector said he would not pass me again with this style intake, he says I am supposed to have the intake with the closed air filter element with the single hole at the fron of the car for the air, what do you guys have to say about that?

I think thats bull.... Im a NJ inpector and here i woudnt care as long as the comp. says its running clean, no matter what air filter youve got. A friend of mine has a new honda and the dealer allowes him to put on a full aftermarket cold air intake (good for 50hp in import land, plus the extra 100 lbs of wings and body kits weighing the car down and making it even slower) and still not affect his warranty Go to another inspector.... Its amazing how some people can be such d*cks.

ya, it really surprised me too, because, this is the third time that i personally have taken the car to be inspected and this is the first time any kind of red flag has come to them on it. I don't even live in an emission controlled county, so that really hacks me off about that

hehe, mine don't move up or down either, and i had a huge exhaust leak, gutted cat, non working emergency brake, and if failed CO horribly. the only thing that caused me to fail was the CO.. and of course $32.50 latter i passed with the lowest CO reading that you could possibly get
