Whats a good plug gap for a 10.7 CR 350

I have .045 right now, but I know thats too much, would something around .030 be good?

Hell no ! That's way too tight. It all depends on your ignition system though. With a stock system .045 is good. I'd go as much as .050 with an aftermarket box like and MSD.

I do have a stock system, but I thought you had to decrease the gap with higher compression? The stock gap for vortec heads is .045 @ 9 to 1.

The amount of gap increase is more dependent on the ignition's output. A better coil, aftermarket box, etc. will allow you to have more gap in your plugs and make more power.

about .42 is what I run mine at. I have tried .35 and .50 and neither seemed that great. So I figured I would try in between and .42 works great. I know .42 is a weird number, but so what. WORKS for me.

Holy ****, I just assumed that the plugs I bought were .045, but I took one out and its .065. I'm cutting it down to .040.
